I got an early start on the Memorial Day weekend by going with my Dad over to my nephew’s new house in Morgan Hill. I wasn’t surprised that my brother was doing the landscaping in the backyard since he’s a Home Depot junkie who can’t stay away from a DIY project. The highlight of that morning was removing the stepping stone below the patio door and setting the top line for the gravel-and-sand base to put underneath the patio pavers imported from Australia. Since my nephew was wearing his “How To Keep An Idiot Busy” T-shirt, he was hauling the dirt out of the backyard.
