The last time I visited Oakridge Mall in South San Jose was in September 2020. California allowed stores to reopen at 25% of capacity after the COVID-19 shutdown. I did a walkthrough video of the empty mall and the barren stores.
This past weekend I went to Oakridge Mall to visit two new restaurants in the food court. I got a slice of cheese pizza from Blondie’s Pizza and the Dreamsicle milkshake at Shack Shake. The mall was busy with so many new stores.
I went over to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center to get my first Pfizer vaccine shot. That took only a half hour to get done. I went over to Valley Fair Mall to have lunch at Shake Shack. I showed the host my brand-new vaccination card and got a free order of French fries. Twenty-four hours later, I got a text from the California Vax For The Win about my incentive card I’ll get soon. After I get my second Pfizer vaccine shot, I’ll get a $50 USD gift card from the state. I could also win $50,000 USD or $1.5 million USD in the state drawings. When I made my vaccine appointment last week, I had no idea that doing my civic duty to society could be so rewarding.
My first impression of the Chocolate Pudding Milkshake at Shake Shack. The milkshake is chocolate frozen custard, topped off with whipped cream, fudge graham cookies, and coca nibs. Milkshake is 890 calories. The overall flavor tastes like chocolate pudding. The new paper straws sucks.
My first impression of the Black Sugar Vanilla Milkshake at Shake Shack. The milkshake is black sugar and vanilla frozen custard, topped off with whipped cream and black sugar syrup. Contains milk and eggs and 960 calories. Black sugar is healthier than regular white sugar. Not any sweeter than the regular vanilla milkshake. The overall flavor tastes like French vanilla.
