For Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2021 deals, I bought four products to change different aspects of my life.
- ASRock Fatal1ty B450 AM4 Mini-ITX Motherboard
- Roberto Blake’s Brand Deals Starter Kit
- Apple Pencil 2
- MindHub Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Practice Test
Let’s look at my shopping haul for this year.
ASRock Fatal1ty B450 AM4 Mini-ITX Motherboard
The ASRock Fatal1ty B450 AM4 mini-ITX motherboard wasn’t a Black Friday special. When this motherboard became available for $100 US in early November, I had to get it. As I mentioned in my previous tech video, this might be the last “cheap” B450 AM4 mini-ITX motherboard for a while.
This upgrade will allow me to “tickle down” older AM4 parts from my other PCs into my Linux box over time. With the increased processing power, I can expand the functionality of my Linux box.
Roberto Blake’s Brand Deals Starter Kit
I got Roberto Blake’s Brand Deals Starter Kit at the introductory price of $50 US. Use discount code SAVE50 to get that price until the end of the year. Regular price will be $99 US next year. The kit has a lot of useful information on being brand friendly, reaching out to brands, and what to charge.
I started posting weekly videos on YouTube four years ago this month. After 381 videos, 583 subscribers, and over 200K views, I’m ready to start my fifth year on YouTube. At 1,000+ subscribers in 2022, I’ll be a nano influencer that brands might want to work with.
Apple Pencil 2
When I bought my Apple iPad mini 6 back in September, I held off on trading in my 2017 iPad for the Apple Pencil 2. After two months of owning iPads of different sizes and power connectors, I was ready to trade-in my old iPad. Apple made the deal sweeter by offering a $25 US gift card for buying the Pencil 2 at $129 US.
The trade-in value for my 2017 iPad was $120 US. The difference after trade-in and sales tax was $20 US. With the $25 US gift card, Apple gave me the Pencil 2 for free and $5 US back. I’m using the Microsoft Whiteboard app for iOS and Windows to take notes.
MindHub Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) Practice Test
MindHub had the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) practice test for 40% off. Instead of paying $109 US for 60 days of access, I paid only $65 US and saved $44 US. I’ll take that exam in late February or early March.
