How Walmart Is Opening 160 Drive-in Movie Theaters

With the coronavirus pandemic getting worse throughout the United States, movie studios are once more rescheduling “Tenet” and “Mulan”. Indoor movie chains like AMC are postponing reopening from July to August.

Drive-in movie theaters, however, are still open in most areas. The car being the ultimate form of social distancing when seeing a movie in public. Bring your own food and drinks, stay inside the car, and lock the doors to keep Zombie Karen out.

When businesses like drive-ins suddenly revive from the dead, it’s an opportunity for new players to enter the market. Walmart announced that they will open drive-in movie theaters at 160 supercenters across the United States from early August to October.

Superman Builds A Gaming PC

Henry Cavill, who plays Superman in Man of Steel, Batman vs. Superman and Justice League, and The Witcher on Netflix, posted a video on his Instagram account of him building a gaming PC. The video opens with all the parts sitting on a table. Unfortunately, the product names for all the parts were blurred out. Making it difficult to determine which parts were used in this PC build. A PC build video is incomplete without a parts list (see below). In my video, I identified the various parts in a montage.

Silicon With Adam Savage Virtual Con 2020 Announcement

Organizers for Silicon Valley Comic Con changed its name to Silicon with Adam Savage and scheduled the three-day comic con for mid-October 2020 in late February. Back then the coronavirus pandemic was a major international problem. And I needed a haircut.

Four months later, I don’t need a haircut. The coronavirus pandemic is now a major U.S. problem. And Adam Savage announced that Silicon with Adam Savage will not be an in-person event.

Instead, it will be a virtual con.
