I Quit YouTube!

If you haven’t heard from the Internet, I’ve quit YouTube — for the rest of the year. No new videos until 2020. I’ve already lost three subscribers for not putting out a video on Wednesday. I may lose more subscribers when I don’t put out a video this Sunday. Or YouTube could be deleting closed accounts that are also subscribed to my channel. Meanwhile, I’m busy re-branding my channel and website. Both have the new header graphics. See you in 2020!

Updated 29 December 2019: Looks like YouTube had a glitch with the subscriber count being lower in the backend than the front end. The three subscribers that I “lost” since Christmas have come back.

How I Spent My Christmas Bonus On Tech 2019

Last year I mentioned in a video that I might spend my Christmas bonus on the new 2018 Apple Mac mini and get a Panasonic Lumix G7 camera. Or I could get the camera but upgrade the processor, mainboard and memory on my video editing PC. If you watched my channel for the past year, you may already have a good idea how I spent my Christmas bonus. If not, keep reading to find out.

The Rise of Skywalker Flickering Light Warning

We are less than one week away from “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” coming out in the movie theaters. Disney issued a warning “that visuals and sustained flashing light” in the movie could affect those who are photosensitive. If this seems like a familiar problem, it is. Pixar, also owned by the House of Mouse, had to put out a similar warning for “The Incredibles 2” after it came out in theaters. A problem that Disney partially fixed when it came out on Blu-Ray. You would think that Disney wouldn’t have avoided making the same mistake twice.

$3 Mystery PC Card — Athena Power BP-SP127SAC

While browsing Facebook a month ago, I came across a Newegg ad for an unusual PC expansion card by Athena Power. The card fits any card slot since it doesn’t plug into the mainboard. The card has two internal connectors that you often don’t see together: a SATA data connector and a floppy drive power connector. With a $15 discount for a limited time, the card sold for $3 USD and I ordered a pair from Newegg. What is this mysterious expansion card? Why would you want to get a pair for your PC?

Can’t Wait For Black Widow? Watch Anna!

The teaser trailer for “Black Widow” came out this week for the long-awaited origin movie of Marvel’s most famous kick-ass heroine. The movie, however, won’t come out until May 1, 2020. If you can’t wait until next year, you can watch “Anna” that came out this year. “Anna” is not a superhero movie but an old fashion KGB spy thriller. While she doesn’t fall through the air as everything explodes around her, Anna can her hold her own in an extended ass kicking contest.

Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2019 Haul

For the Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2019 shopping weekend, I bought the AMD Athlon 3000G processor, Microsoft Windows 10 (MD-100) certification practice test, and the AMD Ryzen 7 2600 processor. Why did I buy two very different AMD processors for the same PC, and a practice test for a certification I still haven’t taken?
